The amazing race was an event that we partook in when we did the Winnipeg Urban Plunge. I’ll just start off by saying congratulations to the winning team of Jason, Jessica and Abby.
The Urban Plunge brought us closer to realizing how fortunate we are in this broken, and yet beautiful world, that God has created. We saw how many of God’s people were continually being faithful in their work to help many people.
One of these people was Travis, and he was operating a community house and a home church. Harvey, another one of these people, helped children who came from a poorer background to try and give them a better future. He also taught us about the effects that drugs and prostitution have had on the community that he lives in. At the end of the race I came out a changed person for the better.
