So one night during our urban plunge in Winnipeg half of our site got the opportunity to hang out with some local kids at a roller skating rink called Wheelies.
This experience is one part of our year that I’m sure no one will forget. Besides all the laughter, the making of new friends, a few odd falls and the constant skating in circles, here was the overwhelming sense of God’s love. It was awesome to see how God could use us to bring joy to these kids’ lives, even if it was just for a couple hours. I was reminded of a verse from Mark 10:14 “Jesus said to them ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’” God delights in children, and it was a true blessing to be able to share His kingdom with them.
